Associates and leads are dropping like flies. HO won't open up these positions to be posted. I would love to move to 1 to 9:30 shift. This 3 to 11:30 is already taking a toll on me. Is this really a sign that it may be closing??? Some associates are working 5 times harder and no raise. Team leads got these big raises and now think they are Kings and Queens and throw it in your face. Can't wait for a new job opportunity that will appreciate me not treat me like a machine.

I wonder.......if Walmart raised their wages to 15 an hour, wouldn't that put people barely above the poverty line? Those few dollars would prevent people from qualifying for food stamps and medicaid, and yet, not make any real changes, since health care would drain any monies gained.
Just because Walmart stock is doing good, doesn't mean they are keeping Sam's Club.
Post ID: @ZJNnrHk-1wyo the reason stock is going up is from the Walmart side yes people are shopping at Walmart but they are using EBT the more people in poverty the more Walmart profits sams is a sinking ship they will never be able to compete with Costco because Costco believes in paying its employee a fair wage some are even union wow imagine that a company that puts there people first that's what made sams so successful in the early years but they have changed and its not for the better you can see it in the clubs stores and associates its just a matter of time

years ago they would threaten you with coaching if you spoke to others about your pay but for the last ten years or so it has been known that it is your own business to share that info or not. I have advocated for 20 years that each associates wage be posted in the break room so that management would be held accountable for unfair wage increases..especially in the days of merit raises...

I don't know why they told everyone about the leads' pay hike, or any of the pay hikes. Isn't it one of their rules, to not talk about your hourly pay? Sure is, because it creates discord. Leadership did this on purpose, but to what end? I'm not sure.
From the chatter on reddit, pay raises are coming for the rest of us too. Not sure when. Maybe they are waiting until the bodies are buried.
I suspect if you have availability issues, they are going to squeeze you out and I don't look for Marketing to last. That can be does with mailers, on line, or outside sources, similar to the tasty sampler people. Or maybe the associates that are now doing Club Pick Ups can take a day or two can work on bringing in new memberships. Or some of the new team leads can do it. Afterall, I never thought they would do away with the cash office or PTO's either. It is a brave new world we work in.
As for me, I'm gonna wait it out. Snagged me one of those 1-9:30 shifts and I hope you get one too. Don't get me wrong, I would have preferred to stay where I was, with my part time job and availability, but here I am, standing on deck, watching the ship take on water, and wondering how fast it's gonna sink. No sense looking for another job. It's too late and I'm too old.
Sam's club made 59 billion dollars last year, its not even close to closing. I really don't know why people associate changes with the company is going bankrupt.
