Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Any chance we find out what will be the shape of AT&T?

Layoffs on a daily basis, restructuring, outsourcing…. All of these are signs that the company is changing. So, when will we hear from the leadership what the future AT&T is going to look like, I mean aside from the regular general and formal statements that we get to hear now and then? It’s a stressful feeling to know that the company is changing and not knowing whether you have a role and a place in that change .

It reminds me of a company out of Texas called ENRON

Lots of non return on investments, loading up debt, lots of bonuses for bad decisions

Randall the Vandal's pathetic attempt to play futurist and distract the world from the severe financial difficulties his "leadership" has brought to AT&T should fool no one. And it was a pathetically wrong guess about the future. The impediments to people abandoning their smart phones in droves are both technical and psychological. To say that 5G will be dramatically more reliable than 4G is silly. The reliability is a function of deployment and maintenance. And the physics of mm wave technology, together with the economics of having a "industry leading cost structure" mean really high speed connectivity will be less reliable not more. Keep spewing the BS. No one is buying.

They are a Jack of all trades but a Master of none... I just got let go last week.. when you make bad business decisions like outsourcing overseas,Direct TV and Time Warner stuff like this happens.. many other companies out there better than AT&T that deserve good help... I will find something outside this screwed up industy this time. 30 years was enough for me..

Annual Report to Shareholders s/b when Randall talks about T's future. If not, then go to it and ask that question.

What I see is layoffs on a quarterly basis, and a lot of troll posts in the meantime. Aside from some itty-bitty layoffs or buyouts, next stop is mid June.

I’m glad someone thinks the same as me! Eye wear is the future. I haven’t heard much about Google Glass lately but I read Microsoft has continued working on AR glasses. Hopefully it’ll hit the civilian market soon.

I went down to the local fortune teller. After a lot herbal ingestion and smoking she was able to show me the future:

AT&T will be in great shape. We’ll all be dancing and hugging each other in the office cubicles. Techs will stop in the streets and perform flash mobs. Dogs and cats will coexist peacefully! I’ve seen the future and it is bright indeed!
