Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

This place is ridiculous

This company is just pushing customers away from stores with better upgrade fees online while sales reps and managers are just sitting around for hours at a time doing nothing being completely unmotivated , all the while the DM's and above are raising quotas

How can you expect us to make a commission if I haven't seen a customer for over an hour? This is getting worse by the day , this is why managers are leaving , reps are miserable , this place is getting worse and worse

Sorry for your stress, but no one is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to work for this company. Unhappy? Find something else that you like! Jeez, whatever happened to taking control of your own life?

It is so sad what they are putting employees through in the retail channel and even at headquarters.

I can't tell you the amount of employees with work related stress on medication for various ailments caused by work. We should all band together and forget unionizing, but a class action lawsuit fighting the corporate greed, and causing our health to suffer because of the anxiety of working there.

They went from paying fairly to making reps have to go into credit card debt in order to survive. Managers too.

Im glad tou said that about the Roxbury NJ store. One of the many id--ts in that store tried to sell my father on a phone because his old phone wont work on 5g! LIES! I work in network and Im sick of sales lying to customers! Your id--ts!

@YBLpGc2-7mbr you can call in and ask them to use the escalation process to get you the plan. You probably spoke with a representative that had no clue there was such a process. It is a form located in the OST that the rep fills out and the plan is switched for you.

I am SO happy I was accepted for the severance!!! Last day was 3/22.... 15 years .... LONG YEARS. Things starting heading south about two years ago ... everyone who had been around for a long while knew the changes were coming, and they did. Hans the 'AXE MAN' as I fondly nick-named him has done the first of his dirty deeds in slashing tenured staff. Quotas and stats are set at stress inducing numbers which in turn will lead to good people leaving. Those that stay will be on meds before long. SO MUCH OUTSOURCING in the centers now = dissatisfied customers. I was shocked today when I called in and found I was shuttled off to a 'Digital Assistant' before I could respond. SAD SAD SAD. Verizon Wireless USE TO BE THE BEST. No more.... just like the rest who put the money before what is best for the customer AND employees. I'm moving my service tomorrow... they wouldn't give me the 55+ plan even though I'm in a state which in it is offered & I'm over 60. But "The offer is not on your account Mrs. xxxx, so we cannot give you the plan." Really, then you won't be getting my $300+ dollars a month anymore, buh-bye!!
