For a number of just managers go to Amplify and put McElfresh in the search box. In the data displayed about him you will see a number of roughly 96K employees ( when I looked a week ago)
12% of 96K is about 11,500 so that sounds correct to me.

Well, trolls or not. Before the layoffs began, J.Mac had about 162k employees under ATO. Check that number in webphone next month and tell us again this is a troll post.
That is if you still have access to Webphone, or still employed with AT&T.

An official troll post. AT&T publishes total employee count quarterly in their 10Qs, so it has been quite obvious that these occasional posts with 5 digit numbers are nonsense.
Verizon used the one fell swoop approach with a large number, but it seems like AT&T is going with many small layoffs. And many of those layoffs will be tempered with people taking buyouts, so actual layoffs are going to be less than surplus announcements.
Hopefully they get rid of those lazy over paid core people
