TMA will be eliminated as of February 2019, that will free up 4-5 assotiates that way when cross training happens, the MGT can focus more on the sales floor, TMA has been eliminated in several clubs already.

All day today management and lead assistant have been in a meeting all day.

Marketing has been on the down hill side for the past 2 yrs. I dont see how it can continue. And yes the severance now is only 5 weeks which s---s.

Rumor has been strong that marketing is going 3rd party, anyone have any updates?? We are on edge waiting for the axe to fall and have heard the severance package has been cut to 5 weeks regardless of years of service!!! It would be nice to know so we can look for work elsewhere!!

Where's the OP on this one?? Why is the next TBC broadcast scheduled for February 12th if all of the TBC's will be gone? Why are there training seminars scheduled through the end of next fiscal year with the folks in charge of TBC telling us to send not only TL's and the best practice associates?
Our TMA got a new balancer installed today. So I think any closing of TMA will depend on sales at each club.
When our club closed last year, we were fully stocked with tires. Shipments of other products were less. They will close a club when they like regardless of the amount of stock.
My Club Manager is stressing about attendance at some conference in Vermont later this month. Highly doubt they'd spend money on that if all the TBC's were getting shut down.
@jzh don't bet on that. Shipments or even them fixing big items means absolutely nothing. Not saying this post is true. Just saying that does not matter. They will just reship the tires elsewhere
Not looking real. They just restocked us with over 100 Pirelli . It's January 3 . If they were closing us that wouldn't happen. 6572.

Had a repair tech come out today to service one of our balancers and he told us that every Club was getting one brand new state of the art balancers and a complete inventory of equipment check to see what was old and needed to be replaced.
Also if @W9LR3ly-yhi is actually a Manager in a store, you are probably the problem with your TBC. I'd wager you never listen, help others or back-up your associates when it comes to warranty work. Which is why you'd have morale problems. What ever to save yourself from a call from a MM or 1-800-WALMART
We have a club in our city that only deals with the special order tires. They no longer carry regular stock. You can’t come in & buy tires there. It’s strictly special orders that they mount. This is to free up space in the club for club pick up. TBC goes down to one or two bays & only steel for the SO. Our club is scheduled next year for remodel & they are measuring for this change. Click n Pull & Club Pickup is the wave of the future. That’s what I was told.

Because they're trying to push the new stores. Shopping without associates. I'm telling ya, Sam's is closing up! All that will be left is fresh and regular merchandise. They aren't getting rid of positions in order to have more associates available for members. They're doing it because they are slowly getting rid of almost everyone.
On the Walmart side of this site someone said all the ancillarys would be closed next year. That would be optical, jewelry, t-b-cco, automotive, and pahrmacy. Nobody in receiving. No cashiers. No night crew. No PTC. No cash office. R.I.P. Sams Club.
