With so many layoff across apac and EMEA, how Oracle is going to drive cloud business? Do you think you can sell business application behind a phone and a computer? What a non-sense. Sometimes I wonder if these ‘so called leaders’ have just the chicken brain?

@V6085Qf-1cac : defintely and completely NOT true, at least for many orgs.
Systems in Spain has been moved to a full ODP model in august with a very short 1 week notice, everyone in the org (sales, presales, support) was wiped in a weekend including the regional country leader.
France has gone the same ODP model, but given the labour laws in that country, it will be effective oct 1st
Many other countries (EECIS, CAT, Nordics) experienced massive reduction in the org between june and august, where "massive" means aything between 75% and 90% reduction. few people were reassinged in other orgs, many people were riffed, with very short or even no notice.
Some countries (Italy, Germany, some minor others) are stil in the middle of the transition, everyone knows the final number but given the laws in those countries everything will be effective by the end of the CY. and will be again a massive reduction in the org. and again, there is no notice in advance to the workers.
"For all the skeptics posting in this forum check with your Spain/Italy/UK/France/Nordic colleagues"
The above statement was something that ALREADY happened and that was planned to move all EU based SC staff to one central location/country . It was publicly stated in meetings what would happen and everyone in those other locations knew they would be loosing their positions YEARS before it rolled out. They where given there end dates a year before being let go.
For all the skeptics posting in this forum check with your Spain/Italy/UK/France/Nordic colleagues.
Here we go again... now it’s October. October will come and go and surprise surprise it will be November. These romours are as bad as that clown Confucius or whatever you call that clown.
it's not a rumour, and basically an open secret.
there are laws in western EU that do not permit immediate layoffs.
everything that was decided last june will be effective between oct 1st and oct 15th in most western EU countries, apart Spain were everything happened in august given the more permissive laws.
only exception will be Germany, were it's basicaly impossible to fire people.
Verified = Loic lg extended staff
Hmmm. What does a verified rumour mean? That it’s a bonified 100% rumour?
