Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

No morning call, no layoff?

Call was this morning. If you weren't on it, you're not affected.

Somebody please tell me this is true?

@Uw2zRla-1xlh You are not an employee but you constantly make posts about switching from AT&T. There are many boards where you can go a post about your displeasure with AT&T and you can also go to many boards to try to switch ppl to T Mobile, but why do you feel the need to consistently post that nonsense on a layoff board related to AT&T?

Really AT&T? You hold calls to let people know they are at risk but you will let them know in 2 weeks? I only have one family member on AT&T which is my 92 year old father who doesn’t like change. I just spoke to him and he’s will be off AT&T by 10:00 pm est. you charge him a ridiculous monthly fee and I’ve been trying to convince him to leave but I have respected the fact that he doesn’t want change. Once I explained to him he could keep his number, he said do it.

These things are being done differently for all sorts of groups. Crafts, Sales, Technology etc, are all different critters. Today, in part of the ATO organization, there was one call that said you are part of an impacted job title/ team and you may hear on Aug 20 that you will be surplused, and there was another call an hour later for different people in the same org that said "no, don't worry, you are not part of the impacted group."

Nothing is true for 100% of the employees at the same time.

Yes, it does. In my org, we have one person affected. He/she got the call in the morning.
