Is there a possibility of getting the MVO offer again later this year?

doubtful. the severance package probably gets modified and the $250B in debt eats away at any cash on hand qtr after qtr...this is the titanic or the next GE -the ceo put all of their eggs in 2 baskets. DTV didn't pan out...and here is next failure
@3qag: In California/Nevada TFS (Technical Field Services) the “outside” technician group the company estimated something like 120-140 they got 240+. In the DOC (Dispatch Optimization Center) dispatch center for technicians the company didn’t have an estimation but about 50 took it. The problem was that people took it that leadership didn’t think would. I enjoy that thought very much. The company shouldn’t be relying on or assuming certain people staying.
2bbr- What are you basing the "success' of the MVO on? In ATO I did not come away feeling that many folks volunteered. 1 in my workgroup of 20 or so, but they were retiring this year anyway.
I wouldn't count on another MVO this year. As stated on this board, LDOP for Non-Volunteers is Oct 19. So there really isn't enough time to get another hit in. What will be interesting is if they go back to targeted surplus actions versus this very broad MVO method in 2019. I think based on the success, you can expect another one in Q1/Q2 of 2019.
Anything is possible, but an involuntary surplus is more likely. Probably mid-August announcement.
