Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

No change in base salary

Has anyone been told our base salary will not change next year? We had a meeting recently and were told we will get incentive bonuses, but our base salary will remain the same. How is that ok? Going on 3 years with a company and still have the same base salary as when starting. That just doesn’t seem right.

I'm glad we have this site to share all information without having the feeling of big brother (humana) breathing down our necks. Even though the information on this site is unofficial. I have found it to be JUST as reliable as the stuff that leadership spews. Often it is not our leader's fault as they are being forced to say what they say or are also being misled also. And anything, absolutely anything could have to do with a layoff for those site rule keepers among us. So, to all, thank you for sharing your thoughts, knowledge and concerns with us.

These are not bonuses, they trying to make up for raises not given to us for 2 years at a time, in the long run they win since the base doesn’t go up, you will be stuck at same rate. Glad I was laid off from this stress, life after Humana is good

This is an open website on the Internet, anyone can come on and view it or comment on it, even though there are “rules”, anyone can post anything....watch....two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles on a sesame seed bun. Not a darn thing to do about layoffs, but welcome to the Internet, below posters...@uvn, @lyc

Well. Maybe not...if performance incentives were based on performance, and they never got one, in years of being at humana, maybe they are at risk for being laid off due to poor performance....and that may be an indicator for future RIFS?

@U73qhuZ-3lkp A direct quote from the main page of this site. Enter TheLayoff.com - The purpose of this site is to provide a space for anyone who'd like to discuss the possibility, likelihood or impacts of layoffs in a company of interest.

And just to give you peace of mind. I did find another job, My interest in this site is to ensure I am not blindsided again by my new company. You have no need to worry about me. I got a sign on bonus, better benefits and about the same pay. I'm good. What about you? And I still think complaining about raises when your fellow professionals have been left jobless demonstrates lack of empathy.

Last layoffs were in early April. If you’re still checking this site in July, looking for stuff to offend you, I would suggest a new hobby.

It’s not just a layoff site. It’s an information site. I’m sorry that you got laid off and I am praying that you find something soon that’s better than what most of us are dealing with . we’ve all just been treated so poorly here and yes I am looking to get out Need some place to vent and get feedback since we can’t ever ask any questions to our supervisors will have to just stay quiet .

As someone who was let go I consider it offensive to read your bleeding heart comments about getting a raise. Show some class and button it.

I have also gotten a raise each year that I have been with Humana, except for this year. My understanding is that they were directly related to performance.

I am surprised, I have gotten 4-5% increases for the last four years being here, I am surprised that people have been here that long without an increase. We were told that it wasn’t a raise, but a performance incentive, so it wasn’t tied to cost of living, but your performance, as are the bonuses in the future....all based on performance of your job and tied to certain humana goals

We were told there was goi g to be no lost of living, which was why there was the one time bonus earlier this year, and starting in 2019, we get bonus based on different factors

You are SNP and we were told that raises wouldn’t be based on performance and they are not sure how cost of living raises will be done at this time. The meeting was specific to the AIP. I’m sorry your coach (who is not here anymore) didn’t give you raises. But please don’t spread false info. It was clearly said they don’t know the plan for cost of living raises. And I can promise you that almost EVERYONE I know of lost out on their raises when the freeze happened regardless of title.

No that is not OK. This company is making record profits. Ask upper management if they have the same base pay. I don’t think they do. So The bonuses again are based on our rates from three years ago and our 401(k)s don’t get increased unless we add more to it. Thanks Humana !
