The glassdoor reviews for Oracle are interesting and vary by location. Indians complain about the lack of "hikes", much more so than North Americans, though you are just as unlikely to get a raise in the USA. Most Americans who post reviews are in sales,

If it's based on salaries, Oracle will be at the bottom for many years to come. One of the down-sides of slashing salaries by hiring cheap labor in India, H1Bs, college grads only.

In addition to the removal of anyone who knows what they are doing.

Oracle is a dead company walking.

I think the survey on linkedin is useless. They go on how much a company is mentioned in postings. If a company is laying people off, it will be mentioned a lot. The linkedin survey means nothing.

I suspect Forbes is mostly rating on salaries and bonuses. Given the Oracle is oriented towards laying off the older workers with higher salaries and the sales people who make large commissions, I would expect that salary-wise Oracle will rank somewhere at the bottom of any list based on that type of information.

According to linkedin, Oracle is #9

I think these surveys are rather worthless. As has been said here already, look at glassdoor reviews to get a better feel for a potential employer.

I don't think it's fake news. It is probably based more on concrete information like salaries and bonuses and if you work for Oracle you know there are no raises and no bonuses.

“It's the #1 place to work for CEOs”

LOL! Ain’t that the truth. Not only does Oracle have 2 CEOs, but they are among the highest paid to boot.

Told you before not to mention Baghdad Bob in this context since he could sue for libel. But seriously, I am amazed at the lengths people will go to delude themselves. Hope they at least get paid for fake news/ deadwood posts.

Glad to see that the HR folks have woken up. Yes, we should ignore this Forbes story. Who cares if SAP and Microsoft, and Salesforce.com, and IBM, even VMware are allmentioned. Sure these list are fixed. Then why isn't Oracle spending the advertising dollars, to have the good corporate presence to be acknowledged, even on the top 500?

No this is all fake news, paid for by scheming competitors and disgruntled ex employees complaint about layoffs. They are all just jealous.

Y’all treating Forbes like Consumer Reports, good luck with that. These lists are like reality shows. Scripted. Better off with the crowd sourced places like glassdoor and linked in. Even those sites are suspect now that they are owned by other companies.

Not in the top 500. There are only 500 listed. Oracle is a sh--ty place to work. Pull yourselves together and get a good job somewhere, anywhere but Oracle.
