All this just to keep analyst guessing, buying time while cooking the books. With stock in the negative for the past 10 years, speculation at its best!! RANDALL HAS NOT OPTIONS

No, the Justice Dept did not order them to sell. They suggested it be sold. Yes, it's not going away tomorrow but AT&T is losing interest in it fast. They announced another acquisition happening really soon. With the anticipated debt load of the TW merger how are they going to pay for the additional acquisitions they have planned? They announced a new streaming service by years end that basically replaces linear DTV and stated they're now concentrating on streaming. It's all out there. He's not hiding his intentions. No, they haven't been told to sell DTV but you can bet AT&T has already planned a future without linear DTV so if they get rid of it now or later it's eventually going away. If they're forced to sell it next month (or graciously offer it up to be sold) it's only a win win for AT&T. They have their Plan B, Plan C, Plan D in place already.

People... Don't jump to conclusions. And there is no court order that will force them to sell directv. It surprises me how quick everyone is jumping to conclusions. As much as you " don't want to believe it."

There is still a big market for satellite dishes in the remote locations. yes it is shrinking. But is will take the better part of 10 years to be gone.. And if they ditch Directv then Dish will take the market share for all the legacy which they will make billions still. But wow.. News Flash! Dish is streaming video and will expand also. Directly competing against ATT. Come on people. You are all smarter than this.

Block the Merger - They have already tried to sell DTV Latin America and no buyers at the price needed. Cant they just fire the current leadership team. It a rudderless ship already.

Stock is dropping - save the pensions - Start creating again, stop the "new flavor" purchases

It makes 0 sense for the consumer to allow this merger to happen. For the sake of AT&T, having randle out might actually save AT&T in the long run.

Randy trying to buy other people’s vision and work needs to stop. AT&T needs to hire people and work on their own product and evolve it.
