Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

really sad and depressing

I'm currently working for Oracle, and presumably not in the rif list for the foreseeable future.

I must say that is really sad and deprssing to read so many marketing and HR social engineering posts here.

Oracle, do you really feel it is important and necessary to post viral marketing here? This is really sad, it confirms that actually Oracle is really in a bad shape.

Everyone working for Oracle knows the about OCI flaws, and the reality of layoffs, so these messages are just for non-oracle employees and are meant to keep the confidence in Oracle stocks.

Just so sad and depressing, please stop this stupid thing you are doing, it is absolutely counterproductive.

I'd be willing to bet that this website isn't even on Oracle's radar. 120,000+ employees and most of these posts only get 1 or 2 thousand views. 5,000 at the most. I don't think this site can have a lot of impact on anything. The "marketer" could just be a troll trying to stir up comments.

Maybe to confirm what the OP wrote.

That these f---ing marketing guys are writing such bs here is a very clear sign, every Oracle employee should be worried not by the layoff prediction done by other Oracle employee (almost always f---ing wrong) but by the fact that Oracle is spending money and resources to start a viral marketing here.

f---, this is a clear sign of the hopeless and desperate situation Oracle is in.

PODCAST: Oracle CEO Mark Hurd On How A Tech Giant Can Stay Nimble And Bet Big On Future Trends

https://www.forbes.com/sites/stevenbertoni/2018/02/27/oracle-ceo-mark-hurd-on-how-a-tech-giant-can-stay-nimble-and-bet-big-on-future-trends/#44921a535604

There's an old saying in Silicon Valley that shaking up a giant technology company is like fixing a jet engine while you're in midair. Oracle CEO Mark Hurd is in the middle of that tricky maneuver as the tech company — now 180,000 employees strong — shifts from a traditional hardware model and bets its future on the cloud.

On this episode of the Forbes Interview, Hurd talks about how Oracle scales, innovates and competes in a fast-moving market against the likes of Microsoft, Salesforce, SAP, and now Amazon. Also hear Hurd discuss the big changes and trends shaping the world of tech — and the challenges and stress of running a massive, international corporation.
