I just got the email regarding the reorg. GTLA SMB reps.

Psssshhh please.... SMB is going nowhere. It is the only area that is showing growth. Those reps are responsible for training retail reps on sMB since they don’t get it in training anymore. They also call business accounts to bring traffic in the stores and close leads submitted by retails reps who don’t know what they are doing. There are some SMB reps who give others a bad name because they take advantage of what can be done with the role.

I seriously doubt it. They said that last year and SMB is holding up retail. Numbers don't lie.
I am a SMB rep in Southern California and we have been hiring. No email nobody has told us anything.
picking them off in groups, VZ is good at using the fog of war to confuse and spread misinformation.
years later people still cant agree how/why or even if they laid of thousands of people, gotta hand it to them.
after this round is over guarantee you will see posts "hey I didnt hear anything im sure ill be here till i retire derp I love VZ kool aid" until you get gutted like tommy in goodfellas.
Such BS on this page recently. SMB may get the ax in the future, but as of today, they are safe and are even hiring in some markets.
Just spoke to an SMB rep here in the North Central Market. He has no idea what you guys are talking about...

An SMB Rep serves (served)? a number of assigned stores and will pursue leads on behalf of solutions specialists. SS submits lead, SMBR calls and tries to add stuff to that business account. They go from store to store and sit on a laptop and make phone calls and take off at 5PM.
What exactly is an SMB rep and what do they do that is different from the other in-store personnel?
Is it anything special or is it something that any of the other store employees can do?

So let me guess the role of an in store SMB along with his/her job duties will fall upon sales reps in the store without any compensation, correct?
