When we get the email will all roles be in the same Meeting? Or will there be a separate one for PHC, ss, hcm, etc?

@Rw7x1ZQ-1ulmSo maybe 14 months, so shoot me already.
18 months ago the only talk was Aetna. Now they went CVS... next thing you know is kindred. 18 months ago? Doubt it. 18 months ago I felt job security.
@Rw7x1ZQ-1jvs They announced the results of a monitored pilot, I think it may have been before Stay Healthy went away. Also don't forget that since this series of layoffs started 18 months ago Humana has decided to buy Kindred and change direction. Bottom line. We don't need to understand it or even like it, the stockholders who own the company have to be convinced by the board that this is the right decision. Humana members will continue to buy policies so long as it competes on price. One last thing. Nurses have spent so much time chasing members through UTC's, Many of these members will be happy not to get the phone calls. I don't think Humana has made the best choices with this program for the last 5 years, but they didn't ask me.
The whole thing about there being no difference in outcome from monitored or managed just doesn't sit well with me. How would they even know??? Monitored members haven't even been monitored long enough yet to know how they are doing. My prediction is that the stars rating will fall even more because people aren't getting the help they need. Only time will tell
Right. It made it seem like 250 could have come from any area of the company. Something clearly changed since then. It doesn’t really matter at this point. It is what it is.
The 250 could have been from other departments. No where did it state HAH!!!!!! They may not have included our layoffs because the total sum was not yet decided.
Something clearly changed since that 250 number was announced. The Town Hall spin seemed to indicate that the pilot focused on moving members to monitored showed that Live Healthy was making no difference - no variance in outcomes whether members were monitored or managed.
Do you buy that? I don’t know what to think, and I am at a point where I guess it just doesn’t matter - there will be a RIF and it will be significant, and no matter how it was planned, it is out of our control.
"Wednesday afternoon that the company is not releasing numbers for where the job cuts are being made, including how many Louisville-based employees have accepted early-retirement offers or were laid off. The company said Monday that 1,150 had accepted a buyout and another 1,300 would be laid off.
Those laid off are expected to leave by the start of the new year. They are eligible to apply for other jobs. The additional 250 reductions mentioned on Wednesday are expected to come in 2018 and "will occur as part of the natural, ongoing fluctuations in parts of the company," Marx said. "
..... 250???? How many PHCs are getting RIF'ed???????? This isn't even including us HCMs... so what's your answer now? "Dr?" Or is it "PT"...
“reductions in force have been part of a broad plan going back nearly a year, before the breakup on selling the health insurer to rival Aetna.”

@1oja.... you are brand new to us but not to corporate. Last rif when? Nov? They told us they we not sure about another layoff. If you have proof of this article please enter it. I would suggest after you let all of us RNs go you should stock up on customer service representatives bc this will back fire on your @$$. Numbers of enrollment will keep dropping and you will be in our shoes within 2 years 😌
@rnf -- Just to be fair, the physical therapist guy is brand new and had nothing to do with these RIFs that were planned over a year ago. BB admitted the advance planning in a public article after the last RIF announcement.
HCM I understand it is a business decision, not personal. I'm sure they are taking their time so it is done right. I'm stressed about this happening and the wait too.
Love my job at Humana and have been treated well for 4 years. Will miss it terribly.
My biggest concern is my members who have come to trust me to be here for them. Wish they could be notified in some way. Can't imagine them calling me and I am not here after 3-4 years. This will be my biggest adjustment.
I've been through this before 3 times and on the management side. These decisions and notifications are very difficult on direct management too! I cried with my employees as I had to "let them go". Our Coaches and Coms are in this with us so we are all in this together.
@wex... it's bc that Physical therapist guy showed them about how much they can make with home visits vs telephonic. That's my opinion.
This has gotten ridiculous....come on Humana, you said first week of Feb...Feb 2 now so just hit us now....I am praying i get RIF so get that $$$ out of your pockets....you stink as a company that thinks it is so great to its employees. Maybe in other departments but not with the RN,SS and CHE staff.....you treat us like we dont matter and few years ago we were the golden child saving all the money and making profits...hmmmm what happened to that
Usually they do it all in one so that everyone gets the message at the same time.
Who has a crystal ball? In the past every one was lumped together, all roles
