Oracle has customer-hostile auditing and licensing policies, but I wonder about the claims in this article. Any company of any size should have a corporate software license compliance team and a procurement team managed at the corporate level for large purchases. If the customer is accepting double billing, it’s partly their own fault. Some offshore subsidiaries are actually independent corporate entities that need their own licenses.
