It's so sad VZ is so toxic that many employees feel trapped liked a bad relationship! There are other companies that treat employees with greater respect. There are many other tactics than laying off - it's just the easiest for lower thinking level executives.
Why folks are so loyal to a transactional relationship is amazing. You're an employee # and that's it - paid for services rendered. When those services are no longer needed - you're gone. It's just that simple - don't over think it. So being mad that VZ doesn't care about you and your family is ridiculous bantor. VZ never will...it's a transaction! Get a grip - loose the melancholy and look out for yourself!
