The 250 to come is on top of the 1300 already notified, however we don’t know what area of the company they will be from.

We also don’t know if the open enrollment numbers will lead to another RIF or not in addition to the 250. We need an update on how open enrollment went.

No, there were way more than 250 with the January end date. 1300.

They meant the 250 that were notified already. January is the date of their employment ends. So they didn’t mean more In January, just the ones that already got notified.

“The additional 250 reductions mentioned are expected to come in 2018”

Courier Journal article

January was mentioned as when they hoped to comple the layoffs that had been planned since early last year.

These may or may not impact HAH. They will review open enrollment numbers.

Where was it explicitly stated that there will be more layoffs in January? I think people misinterpreted the announcement of the November actions.

LOL. You know you’re stressed when you’re channeling Jules from Pulp Fiction.

@ttr... At one point, I thought of Jules from Pulp Fiction, "say practicing at the top of your license one more time..."

Perfect!! I felt the same way. WF is well versed in corporate-speak but seems to be clueless in simply understanding the diversity of employee roles at HAH.

I'm also an unlicensed PHC and while I know what the phrase means - not spending time on work activities below one's skill level - it was a bit disconcerting hearing the phrase over and over. I felt like I was crashing a party I wasn't invited to.

At one point, I thought of Jules from Pulp Fiction, "say practicing at the top of your license one more time..."

Yeah, I guess I'm a bit stressed out these days. Saw so many colleagues let go, teams ripped apart, coaches gone, and here we are again, with Humana mentioning more Jan layoffs to the press but not saying what area....so yeah, we PHC's might be a little on edge, to put it mildly.

@ktf, I think he meant not having to do the same work over and over, like incorporating assessments to each other to pull things over, so we can do our jobs, not all the administrative stuff that way...like the “one screen one dream”, of all the info in one system, not some in Rosalind, and some in cgx, it’s a poor choice of words for a phrase, but it’s corporate speak like “trend benders” and “pivot”

Someone must know if the January layoff will affect HAH at all. Hopefully someone will share. Maybe more will be known after today.

I’m a phc and all that talk about working at “the top of your license” yesterday had me rattled, as I am unlicensed. That seemed to be a big theme yesterday.
