Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Even cutting part-time gigs!

Was just told that a part-time (10-15 hours a week) position that I'd been contracted for has been eliminated because the manager has been told to "lower spend" for Q4. Just a couple of weeks ago the manager had been told to ramp up spending so that she could get the same amount of money for next year. I'm just glad I don't depend on HPE to pay my bills.

Sorry, s---er, I wasn't a "whiner." Like I said, the job was only about 10 hours a week for me, and I've already found 15 hours of work a week from another company. I worked for HP from 2003-2008 before leaving to freelance full time. People like you are one of the big reasons I bailed.

Great example of why layoffs haven't been deep enough and company is a mess... still have terrible managers who make decisions like sheep without taking responsibility.

Although it's good they are getting rid of the whiner contractors before laying off employees.

Every penny counts as it will accumulate to Meg's bonus jar.

Jesus now they're really scrounging for pennies aren't they? They're better off turning off the water to save people from flushing the toilets.
