Oracle Bare Metal Cloud -- Just a slide deck demo for OOW ?

The sales team was given slide deck and the same old Nimbula console demo. Looks like BMC is dead on arrival.

@PoMWM8N-3fea - wrong. But ... clue ... have you considered that many who are either current or former employees are shareholders as well? Throwing shade, FUD ... such things are not done in the interest of the shareholder. Such things push down a stock. A story. Back when I and some others were at Sun, I recall there were many FUDsters at the now defunct Yahoo stock boards. And at other stock boards. No doubt in my mind. Stock shorters were the main FUDsters. For shame.

A person wanting to short the stock would definitely come to this site and throw shade. People in search of insider info may lurk here as well. If a stock trade is made based on insider info (illegally) posted you, and a forensic determination points to (illegally) obtained info from here was a potential factor in the trade, woe unto you.

Most probably they don't want to show how crappy OPC/BMCS is..... the current performances of OCI (new name of OPC) for IaaS/PaaS are substandard in several ways.... The time you need to start a new service (3 months!!!!) and how you change an existing service (sign a new contract, really?!?!?) is too complex and time consuming..... no good, and for sure not "cloud-like".

OCI as it is now is basically unusable as a cloud, unless your cu want to use it in "on-prem-like" way, i.e. a pure hosting.

Don't know first hand for SaaS so that could be actually ok.

Good point, this 'fake news' strategy that oracle is using is a sign of the total desperation and disarray that happening on the top floor. They don't have the brains to admit the trophy and are stupid enough to deny it just a day or two before things happen. What else do investors need to know about how incompetent the management running oracle really is

"Hey OP, are you shorting the stock?"

that's interesting. HR and marketing have changed the "this is all fake news" strategy with a brand new "create a doubt and uncertainty to hide the truth as much as possible" strategy.

maybe because if you say that something is a fake news and accidentally after 2 days the news is confirmed, that's no good.

John Fowler out? fake news. S12 delayed/canceled? fake news. M9 canceled? fake news. O laying off hundreds of HW engineers? fake news .... unfortunately all true news, and confirmed in too short time. not a good strategy after all.

a doubt and uncertainty is just what it is, and can live basically forever. good move HR and marketing, you got me impressed. I thought you were just as stupid as a bacterium. now I think you may have the intelligence of an amoeba, a good improvement indeed.
