Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Glad you mentioned that it's the 25 year anniversary of Solaris... that's more than Oracle did.

(also, 30th anniversary of SPARC).

I can't tell you what is going to happen in the future because I don't know, but I can tell you that between 1400-1500 people were laid off in Santa Clara today. People are still walking by carrying boxes on their way out.

People are scared, I'll leave it at that. Yet, I am sure there will be someone to reach out to you OP...

@bdb I'm so sorry for your job loss and all the layoffs which are taking place. I really hope everyone will be okay, though layoffs are always a tragedy. I feel you, if that's of any comfort.

rRobecchi - thanks for doing this - at least someone wants to expose the criminal syndicate operating out of the executive offices in Redwood City. I was axed back in June so I cannot help you here abut I am sure you'll find someone who can tell you all you need to know.

@oxv I understand how you feel. That's why I provided a few ways to verify I am not HR/legal/whatever. I can post a picture of my Italian ID, if that can help you (though I look quite terrible on that).

The story is definitely not worthless without names, since naming names would put anyone under HR's lens as you wrote. Anonymity never disqualifies reports, if they're backed up by facts.

Mercury News gets a few mil in per year in advertising revenue from Oracle - they care about the worker and truth as much as Safra and MH do...

I don't trust you. If I give you my name and it turns out you are HR then I'm screwed.

And if I don't give you my name then your story is worthless as you can't confirm anything.

In a day or two the truth will come out. Giving information to some supposed Italian news journalist doesn't help those of us here one way or the other.
