@2azh, Thank You. Let me explain something to everyone. This has really happened before to me.

When Costco switched from AmericanExpress to Visa they sold the Costco Credit portfolio to CitiBank the company who services the Sears Card/MasterCard.

When I had a problem and put a charge in dispute with Citibank the Indian reps refused to connect me to a USA rep to have it escalated.

I ended up calling the CitiBank Corporate PR office to get the issue addressed and to get a refund. The only way to address it is to go to the PR department of the company.

Typical whining lib. Didn't even read what was written and went straight to calling the last 2 posters racist. These reps are the ones who can't be bothered to understand. They just read a script. Venture off that and they have no idea what the caller is saying.

Credit card chargebacks are the solution to companies who won't staff with people who understand english.

You all realize that no company is required to transfer you to someone in the US, right? What about companies like us that have some departments completely overseas?

If you can't be bothered to try to understand someone with an accent, that says a whole lot more about you than it does them.

@1hsf, I completely agree with you. I also demand nicely to be connected to either a Canadian Rep or a USA rep. If they refuse then call the home office PR department and that will get the issue fixed real quick.

Now its considered racist to dislike offshore call centers that give sh!tty service? This world is going to hell in a handbasket....

Guess I'm a racist, but if I hear a foreign accent when I call any customer service I immediately ask to be transferred because I don't want to be read a script that has nothing to do with what I'm calling about.

I was hoping it was the Call Center folks but I thought they are in the Philippines? They have an arrogance that goes beyond the language barrier and the script. I feel myself getting impatient when I have to deal with them. I try not to show it though.

I felt somewhat inhuman saying but I hate hate hate offshore call centers and offshore tech personnel.

I realize they are people who need jobs too but I get angry at sending what should be jobs for people in the U.S. overseas. JMHO
