This lawsuit is very interesting -

Very hard to prove in the US which favors business over labor but experience shows that this has merit.

I know a colleague from India in our group. Got hired without any fundamental expertise to be qualified for that position. The only reason I could thought about is that the manager and most of the interviewers are from India .. A coincidence ?
Nothing to speculate about. This was planned (with Oracle legal pulling the strings) to time perfectly with the current lay offs too big to keep quiet. They get DOL help to ensure all bases are covered fending off any age/race/etc discrimination lawsuits.
Here was a speculation why:

@LyyP4pt-4xkc RIGHT on the money
For sure there is an Indian mafia inside Oracle, especially in the product development team. They only promote from within the inner circle.
@LyyP4pt-1cec not blaming immigrants . Many have first hand experience of cliquish behavior extending to promoting their own folks. THAT cannot be denied except in an alternative universe
and THIS is not helping the immigrant cause.
Don't blame immigrants for this. Blame corporate greed. When you blame immigrants you end up building walls as wasting billions of dollars.
@ It IS a strange suit BUT could have been filed 10 years ago easily. This has been going on for a long time. Plenty of folks have echoed this experience.
This sure looks political, filed just two days before Obama left office. In any case, it's a strange suit (saying that white men are both favored and discriminated against). The new administration is unlikely to pursue suits like this.
