Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

HPE’s ultimate goal is to become more competitive based on three basic pillars: growth, higher margins, and more cash on the books.

HPE’s future will not be based on "boxes" - as some here say -, but dynamic random access memory (DRAM). We have introduced various advanced versions of this concept, including communication between components through photonic links. Mrs. Whitman (as you should respectfully refer to her) wants to speed up development of “The Machine”. The goal is to have a prototype of The Machine by the end of the year.

For those that say that HPE will disappear in 2 years, I am here to tell you that we are here to say, and to win. If you don't believe in our vision, you are more than welcome to leave. HPE is for those with the courage and passion to succeed. We are here to win short, medium, and long term!

Has anyone seen some of the bogus propaganda employee review posts on Glassdoor, Indeed, LinkedIn and many other job boards? These are so transparently fake anyone with a few working brain cells can see right through these. It is always along the lines of "I am a young new hire engineer, HPE is a great place to work, lots of advancement opportunities, I love it here"...blah, blah, blah. Never any details like where this mysterious person works, how long, what unit or office, etc. but always with unusually high positive ratings, a lovefest for Granny Meg, highly recommended as a place to work to skew the survey results of the genuine posts from actual HPE employees. Desperation is an ugly thing, no company that really IS a good place to work needs to resort to these kind of tactics. Think about the counter-productive message that is REALLY sending to the astute and in-demand potential new hires they are trying to attract: that they should pass on HPE and look elsewhere.

My guess is you are using non-ecc because I see a lot of corruption with HPE... Take your photonic link and blow it out your ARSE...

"The goal is to have a prototype of The Machine by the end of the year."

REALLY, just the prototype, WOW!!! Better get crackin, because HPE is running out of time... My guess is you have less than 2 years, and your burning up time telling folks how great your are Granny Meg...

It appears to be written by a PR/communications person. However, you have a typo.

I believed in your vision and I followed/met your requests (from Meg's conference calls) and you still WFR'd me. I worked very hard for HP (before split) to achieve your goals so DON'T PREACH to me. You IDIOTS kept the nasty political players, deadwoods with cushy paycheques, foreigners giving jobs to their relatives, and foreigners desperately trying to keep their jobs in order to get citizenship. You protected foreigners and let them keep their jobs over your own citizens. But, I wish you well with your endeavors.

Meg....is that you????

Trying to give a false sense of hope eventhough every all employee meeting is the same thing of the telling support center the future relies on them and you still continue with WFR's to keep your stock holders happy.

@giw - Yes... I've seen more or less the same post (with minor changes) used for replies on Cnet, LinkedIn, and other forums in which current or ex employees slam HPE. Interesting...

If it wasn't because I've seen similar "canned" posts in several social media and news forums, i would have thought the OP is just an @ss teasing. I don't know if you have noticed that HPE has been much more aggressive during the last days badmouthing Dell, and replying bluntly to comments on multiple forums. I think we'll see more of this s#i+ everywhere. The Empire strikes back...

You really need to stop drinking Meg's Kool-Aid punch mix.

The Machine is clearly the biggest vaporware since Duke Nukem Forever.

The world is moving away from proprietary everything, which is one reason why HPE is doomed. The other reason is that HPE is just another TBTF corporation that doesn't give a damn about its employees, its customers, or the communities where it resides.

I may start screaming if I hear the phrase "the future belongs to the fast" or "run to the fire" one more time. Unless you are a suicide bomber or a kamikaze pilot, what kind of idiot runs into a fire? Do you think HPE would "run to the fire" for you?

Ms. Whitman? She is an ordinary employee like every one else, no matter her title. She earns money for her labor. Period. When employees are referred to as Ms. , Mrs., Mr., It, etc., Meg will get the same. This is a freaking company, flailing at best. She is not some God-like creature for gosh sakes. HPE will cease to exist in 5 years. Meggie will have some marginalized politico role.
