Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Puzzling, very puzzling

I am not sure why some people have a dark need to bash the company that pays their wages. Seriously??? I know that Oracle occasional has layoffs, but what tech company does not have layoffs? Technologies evlove, strategies change. I think we have an amazing management line up and even middle managers are outstanding and care for people who work at Oracle.

I would suggest that all rumors stop and that each of us focuses on delivering value for our clients and customers. Keeping focused is what made this company great and posting on boards such is this one helps nobody.

Finally, I am sure I do not have to remind anyone about our Code of Conduct - posting on this board definitely goes against it and you may be terminated for it

Have a great day

Be careful everyone. According to this troll, you could lose your job or even be sued. Lawsuit city. Please respect your overlords when they give themselves huge raises while you get none. If they can figure out a way to lay you off and outsource your job or replace you with a lower skilled and lower priced worker, they will.

Management is so amazing. Not. This is one of the worst management teams I have ever seen. No wonder HP went into the toilet. Oracle will soon be joining them.

@1ycp you may want to go back and check the exit papers you signed when leaving the company. I am sure you'd find enough reasons to remain silent. Just saying.

As a former Oracle employee who left of my own accord long ago and happily working for a very large Oracle customer, I am not bound by Oracles' "Code of Conduct", NDA or Non Compete and will continue to post reliable information about Oracle to whatever forum or news organization I choose.

The cheap attempt to silence contributions to this forum by intimidation just confirms why this (and other such forums) need to exist.

@HzONTLs please shut up. I hate to say it, but shut up. I hear bull like this every day from pretty much every manager around me and I do not need lessons like this in my spare time. This is an open forum and we'll post whatever we'd like.

@zos - Oracle is notorious for destroying the worker base of the companies they acquire - nothing new there. They will keep you for a year, job cuts after that. That's the Oracle way.

Who are you kidding? I've been through the "process". Pretty dehumanizing treatment. Especially if you came from an acquisition. That said, best thing that ever happened to me.
