I spent mine with my family in Annapolis watching the Blue Angeles soar above my head. Man was it an awesome day!

-pnh I thought of Lowell while looking at a pile of manure. The flies on it reminded me of scabs and EWAs with noses up lowells ass
As for NEEDING this job ? far from it. I have always had alternate plans if I needed to walk away from this job. So while i and other Union members who have planned ahead are home with our families. BBQing and enjoying an ice cold beer this weekend. Have fun with your 12 hour days and knowing that when this is over, expected to be RIF'd by a company that only cares about the short term stock price. Nothing else.
1pnh, all I can say is...
Cold-blooded!
"We management have credentials and do not need our jobs here. "
You need to speak for yourself...and for yourself only, since I've known many a managers who'd vehemently disagree with your statements...
"Thought of Lowell"
But he didn't think of you. You are a nobody like all of your brothers and sisters. You need verizon more than verizon needs you. That is why you hate your job and this company yet returned day in and day out for 20+ years. That is why you are begging for your job back waiting like a good little puppy to return to his master.
We management have credentials and do not need our jobs here. Many of us are sought out, head hunted by various companies. I've been at VZ for 5 years and have made it to mid management. I'm also a commissioned officer in the ANG and am looking at moving into the defense industry. I'll take a RIF package (I'm wireless btw) if it comes our I'll just leave if a better opportunity comes.
At the end, YOU HAVE NO LEVERAGE. You know it and we know it. Now be a good dog and sit.
Let's see, got up at 8. Fed my horses. had some coffee. Then cleaned the paddocks - Thought of Lowell, Did some shopping and prepped dinner. Went on a 5 mile ride to work my horses. BBQd some pork chops. Had dinner with my wife and daughter. just another day
Any union member that involves their children in picketing should have their children taken away from them. Passing that type of ignorance and hate on to a child is a form of child abuse. Shows that union people are just as sh1tty being parents as they are being employees.
Started a side job, gonna make about 1300 in2days, 300 with strike fund tomorrow so With no taxes I'm ahead this week.
Actually my daughter saw a Verizon car beside us. She yelled scab out the window then my son held up my CWA red towel in back window for her to see.
Spent the day stealing shopping carts, so I can renovate them and sell them back to the grocery store. Helped the boys cook up some honey oil. Got wasted on some fine weed and 40s earlier. Me and Conkey playing with the kitties in my shed now. DERP
Hey OP I'm sure your family was rely proud to be stuck with their unemployed, lazy, useless father all day. Hope you all were careful driving to and from the show. Would hate to see you have n accident since you have no insurance lol
@eya. Now that was funny! Seems pretty accurate
I hope the union a$$hats never come back. It's been so much nicer without their whining and complaining. It's nice to work with people who actually know what it's like to put in an honest day's work. Every day they are gone, it just solidifies how pathetic and useless those clowns are.
Its finally feeling like what we are used to in the south, no more of this cold weather!! It was awesome weather to be working outiside. Closed a few tt's myself, ate a good lunch on the company dime. Not a bad day.
I worked outside, closed a few trouble tickets, made a ton of money and ate sushi on my per diem. Stay out as long as you like, comrades.
@eya just spit my drink out laughing at that post. Applause my friend, that's perfect lol
I gave 7 bjs to my fellow "brothers" behind the union hall. Rents due soon so gotta do what I gotta do ya know. Being in the union is hard. My knees hurt and my stomach hurts from swallowing but I still have my pride and I'm saving the middle class! Think I'll wax my back tonight after I eat my ketchup sammich.
Sounds like some awesome days spent around here. Almost like the war chests are so full that continued employment at a place you despise is simply a waste of time. Why strike? Just retire to the good life. Someone else can learn the job eventually. Those of us that have to work to support our families will carry the torch forward until we can also join the elite golfing and fishing clubs you fine people are in.
Just an FyI, I wouldn't post that picture. It could be used by the company to show that your not loyal (integrity) . Especially if you should have been working. But that's just my opinion. Try and let us know how it works out .
Mobile picket for 4 hours, 4 hours Uber for 100 bucks, mowed the grass, walked the dog.
I spent mine in my office working hard to serve our customers and cover the work usually done by my coworkers on EWAs. I did a good job and am proud of my work.
It is not nearly as much fun as watching the Blue Angels/my son's baseball game, smoking cigars, cleaning my grill, playing golf, grilling or (most importantly) peeing in a puddle. On the other hand, it feels good to work hard, do a good job and provide for my family and I would never be satisfied taking unemployment or any other kind of a hand-out. We gap-toothed, redneck Southerners are weird that way.
I am glad the other folks are enjoying the break and spending time with loved ones. We all work hard and deserve to take some time off once in a while. I just hope those jobs are still there when you are done. I am no expert and have no inside information, but it seems to me that unless the Labor Secretary can somehow force the company to change course, Verizon is as dug in as they could possibly be. Good luck to all.
I collected 6 informational picket papers from various picket lines while on my way to jobs/load today, its become a fun little game to see if I get recognized as a ewa walking tech.
I even took a picture with one of you idiots in front of a vzw store in midtown. Guessing you thought I was a tourist. I'm gonna get it framed, but first I sent it to all my family and friends, hilarious! Now you, random CWA guy, are a celebutard.
Wow,great day, you are a wildman.
I f---ed the dog, drank beer and sat outside peeing in a puddle. Maybe I will walk the line tomorrow unless batman is on.
I made money, and I see my family.
My house is not going to be foreclosed on soon.
I guess you can get a nice view from a bridge.
Don't do it, they won't use it trust me.
Seventies! Wow, I shot an 84 today which is my best round ever. Smoked a nice cigar and drank some beers, is this how life should be?
Picket line..
Did you read the post, how did you spend your day TODAY, dummy. No mystery on why things aren't getting done.
I'm suprised us union slobs have kids going to college, we're all fat and lazy.........btw my daughter is going to med school.
I'm going to dig a pool in my back yard for my kids when this EWA is over. It will be a fancy pool which will build many family fun memories for years to come!!
Got my deck and grill cleaned, opened my pool, had dinner with the family(girls are home from college), just getting ready to go to my sons concert.
My son is a high school senior, watching every baseball game of his is a blessing.
Man i wanted to boat down and see that, maybe next year. I shot my first round in the seventies, playing everyday has it's advantages.
