VZ better bring the union folks back soon otherwise there will be hell to pay with the shareholders!

Company do not wrong guy, it's down more then 1% today, just a coincidence.
It's amazing when idiots try to understand a fluctuating market value. Especially when the easiest thing to do is look at a purty bar chart showing that this is a normal fluctuation, and not the lowest or anywhere near the lowest it's been in the last 6 months. It's cute how 20% of the Verizon workforce thinks they have such an impact on Big V. You may be part of Ma'Bell, but Ma'bell is on a respirator and the rest of the V fam is giving her oxygen just long enough to sell her tank when she's gone.
Just read the posts, company defender guy strikes again. Where do the profits come from, customers. Guess what, customers are fleeing the mess.
@hob - the bitterness, just look at it. The union wins this round, better luck next time!
the union wants to matter so bad right now.
@thn - Verizon wants to be Google so bad right now.
Actually now that I really start looking at it. Google is down 66 dollars since the union went on strike. We may have less time than previously thought!!! Their reach has no end we should give in now.
Google down .77 Amazon down .88. Holy crap the union is impacting the entire market even non-Union companies. We better give in now before they start impacting global weather and lunar cycles. Foil hats for everyone.
@xlz - exactly, and company defender guy won't admit that the company is screwing him over things that the union is fighting back against for its represented members.
Gotta love the defend the company at any cost guy. The experts claim the strike is effecting the stock, company defender guy says no way.
@alt - that's fine, I can use a nice EISP offer and get another position elsewhere.
Now they really can't afford us. Stock drop makes it even easier to justify cost reductions.
Multiple days of declines, vz is getting pummled!
VZ is a widely held stock so it fluctuates regularly. It was lower than this a couple of months ago and the 52 week low is about $38. In all honesty this recent dip is normal and not strike related.
Shares of Verizon, which had been among the top performing stocks of the year before the strike, have lost 5% in value since the walkout began. The shares ( VZ -1.03% ) were down 1% to $49.20 in afternoon trading on Friday.
49.16 USD / Price decrease 0.50 (1.01%) and still dropping = OUCH!
Just checked VZ stock price, it is sinking fast with no end in sight! VZ is just prolonging the agony by not bargaining a fair contract fast enough. The shareholders are going to be livid!
@cri - only jealous people who get screwed by their employer say things like that. Maybe they wouldn't screw you so bad if you had representation.
cri ---- Why does it matter to you?
The union is part of the problem - not the solution...
@twg - oh yes they are, you are the one that has to get over it. We are coming back whether you like it or not.
The union is not needed back to bring the VZ stock back. Get over it.
@kax - the market is just fine, it's just VZ that isnt. Buying failed businesses like AOL, Yahoo, Blow90, and MillenialAssfaceTV will only get you so far. Thats what haooens when you have a short sighted CEO and executive staff that wants to change VZ from a succesful telecom to an advertising/marketing/media company. Now Ivan, he had vision! Im sure if he was still at the helm VZ stock would be through the roof and union members would be back at work by now.
It's the entire market, not just VZ.
Tell you what Sparky. Sell VZ short and hang onto it until after the ex-div. You're such a wizard, you'll make a ton of money.
