"Union doesn't want mediation which makes them look like the holdout. "
And in the next sentence you write:
"It's that or last best offer."
Guess it's not the union being the holdout after all, is it? I mean, the very term LBFO is direct opposite of bargaining in good faith.
"You guys are screwed either way."
No. The only two ways that we would get screwed is to accept that our situation is either/or as you suggest. But there's more than one way to skin a cat...
Nothing's going to get resolved this Tuesday. Or next Tuesday for that fact. Both sides are in it for the long haul.
Union doesn't want mediation which makes them look like the holdout. It's that or last best offer.
You guys are screwed either way.
Pure comedy genius!
Not sure why anyone is excited about this Dept of Labor meeting. All that was said is that bargaining should continue. Newsflash, bargaining should continue.
Your manager will let you guys suffer after you come back (if you still get the chance to go back) Never trust what management said, which your union master told you already.
That's funny, my manager told a few of us he never realized how difficult and dangerous line work was. Said he had a new appreciation of what we do daily.
The union is going to accept the final offer and try to spin it like it's great, but we will all know the truth.
The curtain has been pulled back and the rest of the company knows that the union is spineless and it's workers are some of the worst in the company. Lazy, shoddy work (I've seen it for myself) and now that management knows how easy your job is, you're in for a world of hurt. I see many suspensions handed out on day 1 and the expectations to drastically increase because everyone knows how mindless and simple your jobs really are. If you aren't retiring in the next three years, you should get out why you can.
@HqqZUOy-lcc You are sure of what? Nothing. Don't be so sure and excited. Wait till Tuesday.
Union has always offered to negotiate, puck face Mc Ahole is the the last best offer...done ,not gonna talk guy.
Why do you think the union is wanting to negotiate now? They were well aware of the lockout, now you be down get down on your knees and kiss Lowell's hand.
Your fall down drunk contractor/EWA whatever, will get us a fair and just deal....I'm sure of it.
5 more days
There won't be any negotiation. The union will accept the last best final offer this week and the whole strike will be proved to have been a colossal waste of time and money. Done deal.
If you guys want to send the DUI contractor (he is not EWA), please send that mobile picketer who tailgated and rear-ended a female contractor's vehicle.
Where are all the scabs now to talk sh--..time to head home losers
The Union on Tuesday should send in that DUI Drunk EWA worker from Massachusetts to negotiate for them. Send him in loaded, and all by himself. As a F- U
