The money spent to keep customer serviced, while the lazy union members, gripped about a good contract is small compared to the wireless side.

While it's human nature to grasp at anything positive, I'd suggest we wait and see what actually happens. As of last weeks union meeting the Union was still standing strong on no givebacks. The DOL isn't going to, really can't, and shouldn't force Verizon into giving everything up and should the Union give up a bunch of givebacks, they're going to have egg on their face and a lot of VERY upset members.
@wby. How wrong you are. Just wait until the shareholders find out how much money was pissed away in an attempt to bust the Union. This was totally unnecessary. How in the world did they think any government, federal or state who relies on VZ for service would let them replace 40k experienced workers. What a boondoggle that would have been. Lowell loses big.

Unless the union crawls back under the LBFO those will be permanently temporary workers. Give it a few weeks for the bad ones to be weeded out and the good ones to get some experience and they'll be doing more work than the union workers did for fewer dollars and headaches.
