What about the workers who were forced to cover for the strikers in other states? They're working 12/7 a week & can't go home for 2 wks @ a time. Then they are jeered at just trying to keep their jobs. Do you think for one minute this is what they want? They are Verizon non-union who don't get the the perks the union workers do. What about their families (with small children). Their parents are needed at home when they're ill & crying for them.

It is kind of funny once you learn who they (The Borg) are.Never thought about it before.
@gca - too funny!! I'm still laughing at the union being the Borg. I've never seen anything so perfect on here lol
@OOM- I am Local Servus of union... you will be assimilated hahahaha!!
And countless Verizon managers said there wasn't going to be a strike too
Haha thanks. It's sad but true. Mindless drones walking in circles.
@aky THE BORG!!! LMFAO you hit the nail on the head!
My advice, stop telling the union idiots anything. If it's something that supports the fact the union is losing this fight, they won't believe it anyway because their union leaders haven't given them the approval lol. The union is the Borg on Star Trek. All tied together with one collective mind and conscious. One can't think unless it's told to.
I don't know if it's going to happen but he said this morning
Ohhhh manny said it. I'll take that to the bank
@gul president of wireline operations for Verizon in Mid Atlantic
" ask Manny Semperdo"
Who's that? Seriously.
@gea ask Manny Semperdo
@MWA- sounds to me like the fear is talking
Mickey Mouse also said the end of May there will be an impasse. You trolls are all a bunch of cartoon characters .
Verizon will never declarr an impasse. Why would they? "Temps" are coming in daily to replace the strikers. In a couple of months the EWAS Will go home and it will be business as usual. The CWA has done exactly what the company was hoping they were doing and has ended their precense at Verizon
"I say agree to mediation and go back to work"
An excellent way for the company to make sure that its demands are shoved down our throats with no say on our end, short of rejecting the contract altogether.
Nah. I'll stay out.
I say agree to mediation and go back to work
mediation was already offered... the union rejected it.
One sided demands aren't negotiations. If requests were reasonable this would have gone to Federal mediation and everyone knows it. Strike and replacements are a win for Vz execs. Good luck.
We are no were near a impasse we have given verizon different ways this could work and they just keep saying no there are being a--holes and want to destroy the union and job security. As the rich get richer and the poor get poorer
Why wait until the end of May? It's clearly at an impasse now since neither side is talking.
After almost a year of negotiations I'd bet most reasonable people would consider that an impasse.
What happened to May 20?
I'm not sure if they can do it or not. That's what Manny just said though
Just heard it from Manny Sampedro
More of the same BS by the same trolls who choose to be ignorant of what an impasse is, and how one gets to it - or avoids it altogether - during the bargaining process...
Yawn.
Next.
