Don't let the union tell you anything different. It's all about the wireless. Remember it was no big deal when 200 techs were moved to Brooklyn from Long Island . Remember it was no big deal when techs from all over Verizon were temporarily moved to buffalo. Are we still need? Yes , but not in the numbers we have. We are losing wireline customers daily. By the time we go back we won't have to worry about temp transfers , half of us will be pemently transferred . The cap at 30 years is a joke. How many people with 18 or 20 years think they are even going to make it to 30? They say it's about the union standing up for good union jobs.....have anybody noticed how may different unions are crossing our line? We are getting killed by union scabs, dirtbag trailer park scabs, and our own management. Voice link is going in on all the pots lines that are out, and if the customer doesn't want it they just go to the cable companies. Time to take what was offered before more blood is lost. Remember this is about the union organizing retail stores called Verizon wireless, most of the workers are just there for college jobs. I know some do want to see more at the stores and we tried but this attempt has failed and now 39000 workers and there families are struggling. Let's keep up the fight but go back to work while we still have work. I am sorry but i am tired of this fight.

The union should just give the wireless union workers a million each and say sorry and let us schmucks go back to work

All of a sudden they union has a change of heart? I think not.... They see us dying off and are looking at the wireless side for more dues. As for double time Sunday? When was the last time most of you even worked a Sunday? And if you do, how many Sunday's are you going to have to work to get what you lost?

This post is 100% right. We are on the streets fighting to unionize wireless because the local unions want more dues paying members. It's all they care about is collecting their dues so they can sit in the union office and do nothing.
@ryg a solid portion of the items you brought up aren't even getting addressed as necessary bargaining items so good luck with that....

Nope. Here's what must happen on the wireline front first:
QARs need to disappear for good.
Article 8 must remain as it is right now.
"Movement of work" language has to go away.
Sunday as a part of the regular workweek needs to be buried as a concept.
Unless all of the above is accomplished, our jobs won't be worth going back to, at least in my opinion.

The company will never let the wireless team unionize. Please stop saying you will fight until you get a fair contract if that contract involves the company agreeing to unionize wireless. That day will never come. The big miss of this strike is that the union believes it can go all in with a pair of 2's.
You know what? I am tired too and my dog ain't in this fight. I would have taken the first offer, it works for me just fine. I am fighting for you a--hole. We will get a fair contract and if we get the wireless to unionize then you will get your 30 years. Get a good night's rest son, cuz the fight has only just begun (cue Karen Carpenter here).
