Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

The breakup of the Bell System was mandated on January 8, 1982,

but the final nail was hammered into Ma Bell's coffin on April 13, 2016, when the union did what Verizon was waited ten months for them to do and walked off their jobs for the last time removing the millstone from the companies neck for good. R.I.P. Ma Bell. Goodbye CWA.

Hey bozo's

Cell phones, and cable have killed wireline.

Your jobs are dying.

Telcom is more software, and less hard ware.

Many of you are no longer needed.

Sorry, but the truth hurts.

@frz, If you truly feel this way, why on earth are you working for them? Life is too short, go find something you love and enjoy doing and stop being so miserable. Life is about choices, and you my friend have been making the wrong ones. Also, spelling and grammar check are there for a reason.

Bottom Line.....

Unions are losing their grip, it's not like the 20's and beyond when they meant something in this country. In these days they are not needed and they're afraid. VZ does not want to work with Unions anymore so if I was a member, I would cross and go back to work because eventually VZ will cut the cord and everyone will be jobless. This side of the business is old and VZ wants to sell it off just like the rest of the country. GET BACK TO WORK guys, it's not worth it anymore.

Actuall Ma Bell died when the name Verizon was born. It formed a new company of micr managers, kiss asses and executives like McAdumbs who is only concerned in pumping up the stock price for his own benefit of stock options.

Robbed the wireline profits to build up wireless. Hired mindless yes leader employees in wireless who even after a huge layoff last year still jump hoops for their King.

He's basically let wireline deteriorate to the f--- the customer, give poor service state its in now.

Congratualtions Lowell for taking a once great nationwide company that not only cared for the customer but the employees as well into this mico managed sh--hole thats called Verizon.
