Moving to Texas??

Moving Basking Ridge to Texas does make business sense. All this is about lowering costs and you can bet there is a clause in the Basking Ridge lease that would allow them to leave.

Texas has lower taxes and incentives to move there. We currently have the Hidden Ridge buildings that contain Wireline and Wireless employee's and as I stated earlier, a good number of BR people will not move to Texas…so you just reduced the age of your workforce, making room for Millennials.

Verizon will never reveal their plans, having a history of saying one thing and doing another.

Well Texas has always been a 3rd world country. So Habib will feel right at home there .... especially if it's next to a landfill.

Ditto. Perhaps you didn't notice that the area where Verizon is building is the same area where many other corporations have large facilities as well. This is a natural step for a transforming company like Verizon as it was for them. Go ahead, check out who else is in Irving. And that area is as fine as any around except NYC or SF of course. Nothing compares to those. Change is definitely coming.

Texas .... land of tornados, wildfires, droughts, flash floods and rednecks (aka GW Bush) ... and pretty soon sacred cows. I think I'll open a steak restaurant called The Sacred Cow across the street from the new HQ. It'll have a glass butcher room so you can see your steaks being prepared. And every cow will be named Karma.

The development is not built yet. 2 yrs they said. So it we wouldnt know yet how many people are affected.

Most of our mgmt telecommute. The relocation is not affecting a notable amount of employees.
