Please think long and hard before voting yes. Voting yes will be the end of all those hired after 2003. Come 2019, Verizon will not sign another deal until all security is off the table and this is when the union will be broken. It is absolutely critical that while we have the high ground, we fight to get the best deal possible. This means 5 years, security for all of our members and the return of those who were unjustly laid off in 2015. Hurricane season will soon be upon us and the company now knows full well that our jobs cannot be done by scabs and ewa. Washington D.C. wants nothing to do with another increase in unemployment numbers and would most certainly force McAdams hand to signing on the dotted line for our LBFO. Make no mistake that this is the most critical vote in the history of labor and could very well spell the end if not handled correctly and fought for like never before. Brothers and sisters, please make the right decision.

Oh and in direct response to the original poster, voting no will assure we be permanently replaced. I agree the temporary hired scabs were totally worthless garbage, the management were a little better as far as doing our work. BUT...
Verizon's wet dream, IE grandpa Lowell is to have wireline die off completely. Move the irate to wireless, or get em to sign up for crumbcast. Anything to kill the union. Don't be stupid, vote yes and work as much OT as possible the next four years, or we will just be dead now by voting NO
Vote YES. Quit putting pieces of sh!t in the white house to pass mandates, as if we are being ruled or something. Anarchy is the best policy when voting for prez, not Sharia law for sho!!!
@uth, We'll be "replaced?" By who exactly? They've been preparing for us to strike for the past year and a half. Did you see the "replacements?" Kumar & Kumar cleaning the outside of coax cable with glass cleaner, contractors dropping poles on houses and hillbilly scabs driving drunk with no license. Virtually no real work was done for seven weeks. As hard as it may be to believe, they need us more than we need them. This may very well be our final contract. Why not fight to get as much as possible rather than continuing with the givebacks?

As said below, this is so much better than what EWA management gets. I look forward to rubbing it in their nose for 3 years. I'm gone in 4 and I figure all wireline will be gone in 5, shipped overseas and sold to Frontier.

Here is the problem with voting no......all that will happen is that we voted no to ratify. We can not go back out unless the union leadership authorizes it, which they probably won't, since they agreed to the existing tentative agreement which was witnessed by federal mediators. We can not just go back on strike. If we walk off the job without the union leadership's authorization, we will have abandoned our jobs and would then be fired and replaced, the LRB would not recognize this as a legal job action.
I'm sure the ones voting yes are the ones who will not lose there job security.. So much for brotherhood and sisterhood... Union strong...bs

Actually, your job was being done by this non-union craft company employee. Thank you for the extra income I would not normally have made. I would suggest you vote 'yes' as it is the best contract you will get. Voting 'no' will put the Union at odds with the Feds and the company, both of which will let the Union flounder and fail on the second go-around.
