@bvz my point is that no matter how much a journalist may deny it, every piece is written with a bias based on our own beliefs. For instance, pick two biographies of a recent President, one written by a Republican and one by a Democrat. The end result will be vastly different based upon personal bias. Same President, same record, same life.....but two very different interpretations of the facts. My point in my original response was to point out that this article is no more relevant and unbiased than the ones in the socialist paper. One cannot totally disregard one, and completely believe the other. Neither are unbiased, and neither are completely accurate.

meh, your point was to conveniently & indirectly write off and marginalize the "socialist paper", without offering up what you would think of as being "true journalism".

So what would you consider "true journalism"?

That would make your initial reply more valid after all.

@ygn yes you're right, and again proves my point that truth and opinion aren't always the same. I find it interesting how people want to hold tight to anything that supports their view, then totally discount anything that opposes it. The truth usually lies somewhere in the middle.

Verizon sanctioned propaganda, which is really an opinion, disguised as a news item:

Wall Street Journal, Investors Business Daily, Fortune and Money newspaper/magazines and Steve Forbes/Detroit columns are opinions and appear as thinly-disguises news pieces. This is nothing more than sanctioned propaganda. Love how you with thing that THIS is true journalism. That's cute too.

@hpo exactly. Opinion is true only in the eye of the beholder. Perfect example and proves this article is nothing but CWA sanctioned propaganda. Thank you for helping me make my point!

Hate to break it to you there hotrod, but this is no more a piece of journalism than the Socialist paper. This is an Opinion piece, and appears in the Opinion section of the paper. I could write an opinion piece saying how dogs should have the right to vote and get it published. This is nothing more than sanctioned propaganda. Love how you think this is true journalism. That's cute.
