Breaking News: Verizon Bribes Corrupt Judge For in--nction Plea

The Dishonorable Carol R. Edmead of NY just accepted a bribe to put out a laughable in--nction in order to halt the effectiveness of the union strike. Some of the new rules include no vandalism (never happened anyway), no bullhorns or other noisemakers, and a limit on the amount of picketers based on the number of employees at any given location. I guess she never heard of the 1st Amendment.

She is a pathetic judge that doesn't appear or care to understand the law. She's disrespectful and irrational. Might be one of the least intelligent judges to New York has ever encountered.

As a person trying to work in an office on a high floor above a Verizon store I can state that constant air horn blasts is a form of mental torture. Regardless of the merits of the strike, they should not be permitted to mentally torture thousands of people for hours on end. It does nothing for their cause, and to the contrary, only drives public opinion in favor of Verizon.

I wouldn't mind seeing those loud mouthed a$$holes with a potty mouth, hot dogs and a smelly red t-shirt hauled in for violating the order. It's easy to fine a police report, it will force any idiots to spend money on a lawyer.

Agreed, not to mention freedom to assemble. Also agree on the union support. Go union! Go Bernie! Company is starting to force us a day off every 2 weeks to cut down on double time hrs but I'm still making almost 3x every check. I never imagined when I got hired I'd be getting paid like I'm a doctor to answer the phone but I'll take it as long as they give it. Taxman will like it, but if union can stay strong for a few months I can put a huge dent in the mortgage and take the family on the vacation of a lifetime with the OT and the RIF package before I take another job. Corporations don't have loyalty to employees, employees don't have loyalty to companies...but jobs are a dime a dozen.

I'm strike replacement but that ain't right. Being loud is not against the law unless you're actually causing bodily harm by blowing it right in someone's ear. If u actually cause damage that way it should be prosecuted but otherwise tough sh--. Stay strong union. I'm prepared for the long haul along with u, hope you get what you are seeking. I am. I'm not against u, just taking the OT they are handing out and putting all expenses on the company dime so when u come back I have some saved up for a vacation before my RIF package and then off to the next job.

I'm sure having that on your record is really gonna hurt. Not. And for the person who flagged the admin saying it wasn't factual, there are 3 PDF files up on the net now with copies of the in--nction.

@H7KnFbR-zan clearly has not worked many strikes. In 2011 I not only handed the cop the in--nction but even pointed out the specific language. After two more cars pulled up the cop just asked if we could wrap it up and leave. Don't believe any of the nonsense a geek like this posts. If it gets too loud or ornery, just in back in the truck and leave. End of story.

"Let's be very clear, if you violate this in--nction you risk having a criminal record. This should not be taking lightly."

Someone who's intent on giving legal advice - and be taken seriously at that - should have a much better command of English language...

I guess the snowflakes are becoming a little threatened by bad words and loud noises. Mommy and daddy and their school teachers did not prepare them for the big bad cruel world out there. Doesn't the union know? No snowflake must ever be stressed, or else!

The best part of these in--nctions trying to find some AFLCIO cop that will even bothter to enforce one. It is just not in their interest. So all of the corporate lawyers getting paid $800/per hour can pat themselves on the back, but that in--nction, like every other one is as worthless as the paper it is written on.

Go CWA and IBEW take this Verizon dog down!!

No surprise there.

Philly judge made a similar ruling when the strike began.

As for the 1st Amendment, we might just have to grab our 2nd Amendment rights to get it back...but that's a whole another topic altogether.

I am sure that the unions are speaking to another judge, or at least the newspapers questioning the Verizon Judge's impartiality.
