@irf...because most of us can retire from here in 1 or 2 more years with a pension..therefore quitting is not the option.
Another fake post from the guys walking around in circles at wireless shops, bullying old ladies and intimidating the customers they profess to care so much about. More union lies.
@hax if you've been treated like garbage and are overworked "to the point where you have no family/social life" then why don't you leave and go find another job? Especially since it's "been the norm on this side of the company for years" as you say?
If it's been so horrible for years and you chose not to find another job then that's your fault. Most people would find other work if their job was horrible like you describe.

OP: Putting a fake message on an internet message board is not going to make the company hurry and put another offer on the table, nor is it going to pressure them in any way. The company has all the leverage and is waiting on the union leadership.
The ball is in the union's court. The company can go on for weeks or months if necessary, especially since Wireline's revenue and profit is such a small part of the company's overall finances.

Just hang in there. They'll be back by August maybe September then you can take your family on a luxury winter vacation!

EWAer, Try to hang in there. The shoe will be on the other foot this friday (Union only gets 2 days pay) and the real eye-opener will be next friday 4/29 (they get no pay and benefits end 4/30).
Me also. It would take me a few years to learn how to do this job well. Why doesn't this company want a workforce anymore? I used to crunch numbers, now they want me to climb poles. Verizon is totally absurd!
