Cloud Application Sales - ASM - Workforce Reduction was what it was called.
Only the VERY beginning. Targets are 2,500 for the next three months, across the company.

Just laid off. Cloud Renewals. At least 10 others with me
CRM layoffs today (Thursday). I know a few who were let go and they were talented.

I was just let go from cloud applications this morning, as well as others. This is happening early.

I always wondered why so many classes were taught on-site when they could be web-based.

There will be some significant layoffs starting in March, and accelerating through the year.
Several new executives (not yet reported here) have announced their imminent departures as of this week.
There is basically an internal moratorium on travel, particularly for internal meetings but also reduced travel for customer facing engagements.
All of this is confirmed.
Do yourself a favor. Go to your family or a mirror and decide on one of the other for this year. 1) either I am leaving Oracle 2) I am staying for better or worse. That is it. either way, you are not making a wrong decision. the worst if you can’t decide. I have been there and done that. stop analyzing everything and what you are hearing. I left Oracle because everyone around me was either fired or gone and now all of who left are in their 2 or 3 company after Oracle. don’t worry on when is the next layoffs, it is unhealthy and disrespectful to you. Decide and enjoy the rest of the year and whatever happened that was out of your control then be it. Cheers. Remember being stressful because of this for a long time will cause you health issues from depression to high blood pressure to things that you didn’t even heard of. Also in a time like this, asking God for guidance is not a bad option.
Joe Eazors group is evaluating his whole business as we speak with a focus on cost cutting. Expected to be complete by end of Feb.
The other rumor is that there will be layoffs end of feb and beginning of march
The next BIG round won’t be until August/September but expect smaller layoffs to continue on an ongoing basis.
