What’s even more embarrassing is that SVP Chief if Staff holds a meeting with HR and other leaders throughout the business (who were shook by the first round of layoffs) and specifically said no more RIFS, and here is two floating holidays and an additional week of bonding leave.
Then, 6 weeks later, another major RIF that affected many people in that room and the budget for those benefits suddenly disappears.
It’s time for the ELT to display some of those values the company supposedly stands for. Hold another EC chat and tell us what is happening with our company. Many of us have dedicated our entire adult working lives to the business and you are failing us.
BS, TM, EC, DD, SK, Are you too emotionally hurt by what’s happened to tell us the truth or do you have to lie and mislead us because leaking an impending sale would lead to insider trading? It’s probably the latter but communication about staffing and business performance, et al, should be shared. Do it now. Not Wednesday, not Thursday, do it Tuesday January 6, 2020. Include everybody - be the leader you say you are and no more of this nonsense. Start with these questions and publish tomorrow please-
1). Will there be more cuts in 2020- if so when who and give those associates notice. Don’t say it’s because of personal information because many associates who were asked to stay on for a period of time had access to very personal and proprietary information.

) What is actually up with Plano? Are they merging with Cards?

). Do you plan on closing any sites this year? and be transparent- just because something isn’t final at this moment isn’t a green light to say “not at this time”. YOUR PEOPLE deserve to hear we are considering xyz and abc locations.

). If there are future RIFS will severance packages be given? Will they be equivalent to those given to the associates on Oct 23rd and Dec 9? If not, why?

). In the event of a sale of the cards LOB, when associates are inevitably RIFd for duplication of work, will they receive severance packages?
Answer these questions B.S. or give Mr Andretta your resignation. It is absolutely unacceptable that YOUR PEOPLE are finding out about layoffs and site closures on a message board that has clearly been overrun by entry level associates. YOUR PEOPLE are going to have to field questions from those very associates tomorrow about this. You need to come clean about these sites and EVERYTHING. We know you will read this or will be given the message. If you don’t answer these questions then every single SVP, VP, SR Director, Director, and up should resign immediately.
