@11GW5mEq-vge DTV techs dont have the same layoff rules as appendix A, The company can lay them off any time during the year. They don't get any notice other than 2 weeks and a max severance of 3 weeks if they have been with the company 6+ years.
They have the good old CWA for the eff up during the initial integration of dtv into the contract.
I had always read on this board that union layoffs had to be announced on the 15th of the month, in the last month of the quarter. Apparently that is not true or these techs are not union. Which is it?
Glad to hear it. I had a great contracted tech out last week to reaim DTV dish.
Get rid of all those lazy union AT&T techs.
Sorry to hear that I hope the best for those who lost their jobs. It is not their fault and they should not take it personally.
