With everyone forced to come in to collaboration zones everyday the office is way too crowded. No where to sit and good luck if you have to find a bathroom stall after lunch. I'm waiting for the tents and porta potties to be set up in the parking lot for a true open office environment.

Build conduits to managers offices for waste overflow. This will solve the stink and overcrowding. Learn to think out of the bowl.
Screw AT&T back.
It's not even ALL of ATO. Different VP's under Marachel have different marching orders. RW is forcing all his folks into the largest offices in their areas (does not matter that no one on their team is there). JL's folks are being allowed to work out of whatever office they're already in
Don't worry; At&t had plans to alleviate the crowding.
1nac - why just under ATO? Because this idea was heavily demonised by John Donovan and now his love child McRotten. They are not a fan of people telecommuting and i read from another post here that JD was offended when he did one of his booolllshitte townhalls in NJ and the room was almost empty. He took it deeply by heart and promised revenge on employees...
Now hes gone, his demon lovechild McRotten is going to continue that revenge/tradition against telecommuting.
I contacted CRE regarding to have me transfer to one of the buildings near where i live because i refused to drive 70+ miles a day and was told that the building im requesting to is NOT A PRIORITY zone.. whatever the PHUCK THAT MEANS.
Is anyone here contacting CRE about the conditions? the over crowding ? the noise? I have. And when I’ve talked to them it seems that they want to get rid of many buildings and have an environment where people aren’t full time office. The purpose of these new open floors are for drop in and telepresence. If they want full time office they should provide the dedicated space for each and every person. Not have us hunt around every day for a space, if you can find one. Obviously CRE and ATO are not on the same page. I know people in other non-ATO orgs, that I work with regularly, that are in non-collaboration zones and work from home full time. Why is it JUST ATO??
1eot - att thinks hopefully everyone will just quit so that the less of the population can be accommodated. Funny in ATL we have a record breaking weather of 90s for like 89 days already compared to 30 something last yr. One thing for sure, all these people commuting is adding to the environments carbon footprint.
The whole collaboration thing is BOOOLLLSHITE!!! I dont mind comin in everyday, but they F—ing send me to 40+ miles to another location.
No issue with ATO changing their mind on telecommuting policy. Honestly, too many managers abused the c-ap out of that policy. How many calls have you been on over the years with screaming kids, barking dogs, a manager that is clearly mowing his lawn, etc.?
That said, what I do have an issue with is forcing folks back into the office WHEN THERE ISN'T SPACE TO ACOMMODATE THEM. Which is what they have done, a 180 degree opposite effort from what CRE has been doing for years, which is downsizing all leased office space and selling owned real estate. Something will have to give at some point.
But you are accelerating your innovation!!! Yay collaboration! Lost the home office deduction, and pay for gas, lunches, pet sitter and talk to NO ONE face to face in the office except “good morning”. NO collaboration because no one in my office has anything to do with what I do. And all my team is scattered all over the company. And leadership wants to know why I’m not engaged? Let’s not forget the extra workload because they keep laying off the workers. Sheesh
In our office people have just started going in the corners. It smells so bad and it is so hot in here since they turned off the AC to save money.
I thought there were not any more employees after the outsourcing to IBM and Tech M and Accenture which is coming very soon.
When they encouraged employees to work remote, they bragged about how they were saving the environment with charts, graphs, and polling data. Forcing employees to come into the office everyday is backwards.
