Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

What your not suppose to know. Push your elected officials to support it.And tell your friends do the same

The PRO Act Bill would provide long overdue strengthened protections for people organizing to form a union and for people who are already members of a union. Increasing unionization rates would build bargaining power for workers, allowing more people to negotiate for the wages, benefits, and workplaces they deserve.

There will never be a union at Sam’s. Never. Ever.

So quit complaining and be glad you even have a job.

Wrap your brain around this . You get called into the office . Theres 2 Mgrs or a Mngr and a supervisor ( lead ) . It's just you and your never allowed to have your own witness. Which one looks like a union? And how you think it will end after you leave that office. And union dues was subtracted in that 2% you receive now without your input. Think of the long term ones who were getting 40 - 50 cent yearly. To now getting 21 cents. But keep up the hard work . There making changes and so would the people.

I worked for the state of Ohio for years. Didn't like the union or the union leaders. Talk about "pets." Union leaders are forgiven everything, all they have to do is sacrifice someone every once in awhile. I seen the same thing happen over and over. Power corrupts, and unions are no exception. I have a relative in the teachers union. Same thing there. They're good at taking people's money. They raise their dues faster than the government raises taxes, but they give little in return.

No, I'm not a manager or team lead. I'm a desk associate.

"Unions have become selfish, extremely greedy, and even thuggish in their never-ending quest to take in as much as they can for themselves, at the expense of everyone else who crosses their path.

That's why today, unions have changed from organizations that "look out for the little guy" into the largest, most rapacious special interest group in the entire country. Where unions go, disaster usually follows. "

For the person who actually thinks they have any control of there future at this company is blind. Just like the one reply said you cannot help this individual. Theres no way things could be worse with a union. Dont talk about how much money you will spend on dues the company already told you how much they think about us when they went to a 2% raise across the board.

If you work at a business that supports a union. The only thing you are guaranteeing yourself instead of having 3 to 4 bosses you will be having at least 12 to 14 bosses and no real say in your future. And alot money coming out of your paycheck.

"Given that many workers in Chile make $350 to $400 per month...," Taken from the book Building Power from Below: Chilean Workers Take On Walmart, By Carolina Bank Muñoz

No wonder Walmart made a deal with the union. The worker didn't win much. And I'll bet dollars to donuts, Walmart comes out ahead in the end.

I think people are getting smart to Walmarts tactics. It's a new day , a new age.

@1sye yep. They just claim some type of "plumbing" issue. Close the stores/clubs for over 6 months. Then reopen and not hire back any of those influenced by union activity.

Over the years a bunch of clubs and stores was shut down that wasn't trying to unionize. That's the misconception. And according to this post article. It states that they are bargaining with the unionized strikers in Chile. So why not here ?

So how you think those shareholders are goin to handle loss profits . If they keep shutting down a bunch of stores because of unions. It’s that kind of fear tactics that keeps them rich. And the workers poor. It takes sacrifice before things to improve atleast for your children’s grandchildren to have better than you. As others did before us!

Clubs that try to unionize are quickly shut down by the company. They'll close the doors before they allow it.

These people are not going to vote union all they know how to do is come on a site and tell how bad it is and will not do anything that would require any kind of effort and the ones that still believe in this company you can't help anyway they are blind and think they actually matter.
