Thread regarding Molina Healthcare Inc. layoffs

Is age a determining factor?

From what I've noticed, most of the people let go here (Ohio) are older, which makes very little sense to me (they have the most experience.) What's the situation in other locations?

I've seen people of all ages being laid off in this round. I don't think age is a factor, at least this time.

"An external consulting firm made all of these decisions. They ran a mathematical algorithm that determined which positions were useful and which could be eliminated. It had nothing to do with your qualities or characteristics. These decisions were made outside of Molina and only then given to Molina to act as messenger to those affected."

HOGWASH. Certain people knew who was going to get laid off WEEKS IN ADVANCE. They were chosen by humans, not algorithms. Specific people were targeted for all the traditional things people get laid off for.

@lqy same here - mostly younger folks were cut - i'd say this is a typicall #layoff and there is no #agediscrimination

I have noticed the age thing as well, but it seems to vary from place to place...

The people I know that have been laid off are all under 30.
