I don't blame anybody who decides to leave. This place is dangerous to all of our mental health.

I left because of the toxic culture and received a fairly higher pay. There are good banks out there that do treat their employees well. It was a tough decision to leave but the best decision for my well-being. I'm actually happy to go to work now, and it's amazing my new employer loves my way of thinking and not micromanaging me and my team. Good luck to those that have made the leap and are happier, life's too short for this cr*p.
I applied to smaller regional banks and had a few good offers, so I have to disagree with you. BTW, the phrase is" Out of the Frying Pan, Into the Fire".
Working in banking today there ARE no good ones to work for. This industry is the same or worse small or large, regional or national. Those of you looking to leave SunTruist and think your new bank will be different, it’s not, so be careful what you wish for. Oh and those proclaiming they left and got these huge raises they are the exception not the norm. Check out this alleged HOT job market if you think I’m wrong. Jumping out of the fire into the frying pan is not an improvement.
I don't think there are many places that wouldn't be an improvement over Truist.
