Egotistical? That’s an odd criticism that doesn’t really follow any logic. Someone accuses you of using what is supposed to be a friendly acronym in a passive aggressive manner to demean others, and you call them egotistical. You’re less intelligent than I originally thought.

Let’s be real. Anyone who comes here and takes any of these posts personally is extremely egotistical

Do you honestly want them to dump 50,000 people into the labor market at once? Who would that serve? Not the displaced, more competition for available jobs. Not the survivors, trying to work around the even bigger holes. That’s just frustration talking; you can’t be serious.

It will make me extraordinarily happy when my turn comes. The paperwork is in so now it's just a waiting game.

No one is happy with layoffs. That said, the constant fear of layoffs/forced relocations is far worse on a companies employee morale and mental health.

One SF job costs 2 1/2 times the cost of an equivalent CLT job. In the case of technology jobs, you have much better software engineers in Charlotte.

Information is power. They have the information. and the power. You have no information, and no power, and that is exactly how they want it.

Most of the layoffs should come from CLT. Basically what’s going on is over a decade removed post merger , wells is just getting around to trimming the Wachovia fat they should have during the integration where they targeted to save $5b due to synergies. So the CLT folks were handed a generous gift to retain so many jobs for over a decade. Now comes the chopping

Of course Charlotte will be impacted, it has more Wells Fargo employees than any other city. All the current hubs will be impacted if Wells is displacing 1/5 of the company.

The article just rehashes the same old stuff that been floating around for a while. Would it really make any difference if they said, okay, we're going to layoff 10,000 people this year? You'd still have no idea if, or when, your number would be up.
