Why do people think working in an office is better? I just don’t get it. The constant distractions, the lack of privacy with people peeking at your screen, it’s anything but productive. Open offices ki-l deep thinking, making it nearly impossible to focus. And the whole routine of clocking in and out from sunrise to sunset? It’s an outdated and rigid norm that does nothing for efficiency. We do our best work when we can truly immerse ourselves in our thoughts, when we can enter a state of deep concentration without interruptions. So why do so many still insist that the office is the ideal work environment?

Plenty of people abuse the system as it is. Mondays are still really empty. I wish they would enforce the current system of 4/1 as those same people will still not show up when it’s 5 days.

I’ve also seen lots of showing up at 10 and out by 3 behavior with a lunch or gym workout included. I’m not talking about leaving or coming in late for the occasional appointment, this is their working schedule all the time.

Why not speak to those who are abusing the privileges vs taking away the last wfh day from those who adhere to company policy?

@zk+1jmt2xkjm You estimating new FY or fall, after summer Fridays and wellness week?

It seems like definitely in new FY. Everytime EH mentions gyms and food expanding, probably to make sure other campus things are running smoothly first. But it does still feel like it’s coming even though not announced yesterday

We are too important to Nike to come back to the office...we are the hackers that protect from other hackers!

You’re probably FOS or just trolling, but it’s certainly one way to cut more people without actually doing layoffs.
