Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Did Anyone Complete the December Pulse Survey?

If you have not completed the survey, please do so.

They keep claiming that all is well, but morale is the lowest I have seen it in many years.

Speak your minds.

Tell them what you think and what is really going on.

Of course, the last question blatantly asks if you are planning to leave Wells Fargo.

Let them have it.

There is actually an open text comments section this time.

survey says: there's no pulse, he's dead.

I took it but of course was before they released their testing policy for RTO. Would have changed how I answered some of the questions.

WF is going down the same pathway of Sears, Enron, and Toys R Us.

I worked at another big company where the same things were going on, and I jumped ship before they went out of business. It was a good move at the time.

Now I have been at WF for going on 20 years, and I see the same things starting to happen here. I'm close to retirement and can afford to wait and see what happens. Will be interesting to watch from the inside as a big company explodes.

There won’t be much of a “pulse” survey for a lot of the employees once the RTO scheme happens.

Yes, it is called the delete button. I use it every time I see the survey come in to my inbox.

Where do the results of these surveys go to- direct mgrs, higher ups in the department, or a centralized team?

I have filled these out in the past and been pretty honest, but the fact that our management never even shared the results of the company wide September survey with our department makes me think it’s not even worth it.

@ziq+1elNUahd best time to go. Don't stick around hoping it gets better without any real measurable change for better. I wish I had jumped at 2 years. Once you start racking up extra PTO and other time based benefits you wind up settling, trying to convince yourself it's worth it, things will turn around.

Next thing you know the dark blot on your resume gets bigger and bigger as time passes. You get more stressed out dealing with the constant firehose of uncoordinated change, the revolving door of management and the embarrassingly bad tech. Any crumb of success you can manage to get is against all odds with huculean effort. Ages you fast, brings you down and makes you miserable.

Get out before you're like a lot of us.

I added myself to the 40% of CTO employees seriously considering leaving and I haven't even been here two years.

Won't make a difference no matter what you say

Agree, I’ve been on the stagecoach for over 15 years and bled red & gold for most of it, but have never felt more used, abused, and unvalued as I do now. Even in the darkest days of the scandal I was still Wells Fargo’s biggest champion and truly believed we could be redeemed, but CS is ruining everything, destroying all the best parts of our culture and not doing anything to fix the worst parts. We’re a soulless empty shell of a company now, with nothing special to set us apart from the competition. It’s like working for Pan-Am, Kodak, Polaroid, or Blockbuster in 1997. It’s sad. Witnessing the end of another iconic brand, only this time from the inside. If I’m invited to participate I’ll say this exactly.

I did mine and talked about:

• Long wait times to hear about a position I interviewed for only to learn the posting was later canceled

• RTO during Covid (aka “passive aggressive attrition method”)

• No clear career progression

• Location Strategy (aka “force employees out)
