Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Waaaa, waaa I got inconsistently meets and no raise

I busted my azz at WF for years and got Meets and Exceeds and still got 1-2% raises, far less than I deserved for doing a good job. For those of you who didn't "meet the bar" and got below Meets, and no raise, go find another job. For those of you who got Meets or Exceeds and still got a low raise, go find another job.

They want attrition anyways, and don't care. Then end.

I agree with one of the posters that exceeds is they are getting ready for promotion. If you get consistently exceeds year after year and no promotion you likely are older and they can’t promote you but you do a good job. The question for many is why am i not promoted (maybe you are not skilled enough to land a higher comp job, you do a good job in your role but your skill set is not a match). Do your own legwork and don’t whine about getting a great exceeds and consistently exceeds and no promotion. Go put the legwork in and apply for your promotion elsewhere. I don’t get promoted. I post out for a promotion. My other area valued my skill set but i was not going anywhere so i did,

The only thing that Saul said that makes sense is most people on the career ladder are changes jobs every 4 years. those are movers. Everyone else is coasters.

I got consistently exceeds for years and now exceeds. No promotion ever and lowest raise and bonus this year.

@yld+1kRzPa6i Smart managers save the exceeds ratings for when you’re close to a promotion.

I got consistently exceeds. In my eyes it's all about making your manager's life easy. Taking the initiative on your own. Only bothering your manager for important things. Etc

I got Meets. Does anybody here gets Exceed or Consistently exceed? Love to hear what they did differently

Yup! They don’t care about those who put their blood, sweat, tears into the company. They keep those who are mediocre & let the amazing ones go. This is a whole new Wells Fargo, not the co. it used to be. It’s sad really… the company we used to love working for.

Spot on. Absolutely no incentive to work hard/smart.
