Happy new year everyone. Just want to check in to see if anyone has any information regarding the layoffs in 2021. What are the dates and how many will get laid off in 2021?

honestly, we've gotten no where near the cuts that have been outlined so expect them to happen every month (seems like 2x a month but not set in stone clearly). It will vary by business line as they evaluate what jobs they need, and where, along with what may be outsourced or what jobs need to be different. I would recommend that anyone keeps their resume updated, no one can predict what will happen or when. So network, update your resume and just do the best you can. Things will work out either way.
I spent a good few months last year stressing over layoffs after reading this site, and guess what? I'm still here, not even a hint of layoffs in my team and we're all incredibly busy and well utilized. Doesn't mean we're "safe" but I realized I can't control what the company will do, it's not in my boss' hands and all I can do is be ready if it happens.
So I keep a few months extra funds liquid, will save more from my bonus (whatever that may be) and have kept an eye on the job market. I do enjoy my work, so I'm not looking to jump ship unless I'm laid off or an incredible offer comes up, but I'm also expecting a baby in the spring so I'll be getting a few months off either way soon. At that time, I'll certainly evaluate if there's a better option for me to go externally.
just remember, it's not personal, it's business. Do what is good for YOU, and don't care about what your boss, team etc will think. No one is going to look out for you, except you!
Everyone said they got so much more pay with their new job. How did people putting up with being so much underpaid until they were forced to get another job? Didn’t they know they were underpaid? Why waited until now to do something about it?
@mbh+18IrhKdP, he is right 100%; i was lucky enough to get a job in December so I have a way out now.
Had to to help my anxiety, like he mention , really was making me go crazy. Now i am gone for 2 weeks, it is completely gone and start my new role in first week of Jan. I am so glad I was able to get a job so fast, market is good where I live for Tech Jobs. Also got 37k more + benefits, PTO, bonus, etc....
We are all guessing now.
Wells is not doing well right now and there are no easy fixes.
It'll get worse before it gets better. I think we are worth more in parts than as a sum of the parts. My two cents only.
Nobody here has the answer to your question. Of course there will be layoffs, but where and how many are anybody’s guess.
Try to get out on your own terms. Anxiety is a k–ler and no job is worth it.

Try to take a break from WFC during this holiday season. What will happen will happen and your angst will have no affect upon it.
Relax, breathe enjoy your time off. Go to work on time, work diligently as you have in the past but begin to take control of your destiny going forward. Prepare your resume, make contacts and look for another position so that you can breathe. There are allot of jobs out there much better than you may have. You are not alone and your are not defined by your position at WFC. Keep moving and growing.
