I Don’t live in North Korea.
There’s no Dear Leader here.
Why do I have to make myself a lesser by referring to some id--t boss as “my leader”?
So degrading and stupid. These mo--ns will never be my leaders, nor will I be subservient to them by addressing them as if they’re royalty.

“It’s like the firemen following their leaders into the twin office towers”? - @xsp
I would not make that comparison.
20 million yearly for the CEO and 40 million if he fails to get rid of him. Who comes up with this nonsense!!!! But me & you we get the boot. That's the problem these managers are not gods on earth stop acting like there some Devine being. He ruined erricson and he's doing the same here. Just Google it's public knowledge!!! So the question is you hired him because of the 5yee its not working now what ?

So proud of the leaders at the company.
You obviously are lesser. Maybe you should become your own boss/leader, etc. What’s stopping you?
Really, the word "leader" is so troublesome to communicate in a generalized manner. There are many more important matter and topics at stake here. The livelihood of innocent, dedicated, passionate, educated, and hardworking, people, for all walks of life.
I hear people calling Fidel Desantis a great leader, LOLOLOL, so that term doesn’t mean much
It's like the firemen following their leaders into the twin office towers. You follow because you are brave and you believe. Simple as that.
Y’all just can’t deal with any change. I’m sure verizon bosses will suddenly turn into the supreme leader (dictator) of an authoritarian state just because of what word you use. Words really are painful for y’all to use aren’t they?
What if you have too many of one job title and not enough of another, given the future trajectory and needs of the business. That is why you hire and lay off unless of course you have people who all of a sudden want to move from Sales to Engineering or from Finance to Operations. So yes, there can be hiring and layoffs at the same time, especially if the business is changing. Duh
Just curious how you want to be viewed OP? I think a leader is simply either someone you respect and will follow or someone above your direct manager. I don't think you would call Hans your manager.
As a manager, I aspire to also be a leader. I think if you aspired to be a leader and worked towards that, you would have more respect and understanding for people referred to as leaders.
90% of decisions leaders make are choosing the better of two (possibly both bad) options. Just pick something you really dislike and try to be objective.
On an agreeable note, I don't think RIF'ing people while simultaneously hiring is a sign of good leadership. They should either be open about their long term headcount targets and give people time to decide and move or ensure all competent RIF'ed individuals are retained via new jobs.
I ain’t the one with the title.
I'm having thoughts of your i__diot crowd changing Moms and Dad to birthers. Just because you don't respect your Leader doesn't mean others do not. Seriously stop being so entitled.
