@wjb that is a pretty weak interpretation of this sites privacy policy

@qwp who let HR in here

“The decision involved severance agreements offered to furloughed employees that prohibited them from making statements that could disparage the employer and from disclosing the terms of the agreement itself.”

Straight from the NLRB site.

“The NLRB's decision last week prohibits employers from requiring laid off workers to keep confidential both the terms of their severance agreement and the terms and conditions of their job (which includes wages, hours, health and safety issues, etc.)“

From CNN. Shared for the sake of simplicity. But I don’t disagree, always good to consult with an attorney.

@hkp+1s35snb4 a confidentiality provision in a severance agreement that restricts employees from disclosing the financial terms of the severance to anyone other than their family, attorney, and financial advisor may be acceptable under certain circumstances.

The NLRB has indicated that confidentiality provisions become unlawful if they have a chilling effect that prevents employees from assisting others with workplace issues or from communicating with various entities, including the NLRB, unions, legal forums, the media, or other third parties.

Definitely recommend consulting with a legal professional than this site. as someone who has laid off, my lawyer seemed to think it would hold up.

2-3 weeks per year depending on your band level.

Friendly reminder that according to the NLRB Nike cannot give you severance in exchange for signing an NDA or rather, buy your silence. Know your rights. Nike depends on you operating out of fear.

Why would HR hide behind NDAs so strongly if they were playing fair?

You only need secrets this strong if you’re playing shell games & teacher’s pet.

Every other company running layoffs is open and above board about the process. I bet phase 2 is dragging so hard because they’ve completely lost control of the budget and are trying to hide that from wall street.

Does it matter? Most of the people laid off were VPs and they’ve already received 90% of the layoff budget.

Whatever they got you’re not going to get.

We already know they barely considered years of experience. Everyone got mostly the same amount. They biased the package towards the Kohls krew, stealing from long-term employees.

This question is asked weekly. The answer is unfortunately no, as we are bound to NDAs or risk losing severance. And before you downvote, check the privacy policy of this site. They will share your information if Nike asks.
